Body awareness and how to reestablish connection with our physical self in a world full of digital distraction.

Imagine your body is a house you live in. In these busy, modern times, we are often so distracted by our phones, computers and other devices that we forget to pay attention to our ‘house’. We have, as it were, lost connection with our body.

To restore this connection, we must consciously take the time for our physical well-being. We can do this by exercising regularly, eating healthy and sleeping enough.

Think of your body as a plant that needs water, sunlight and nutrition to grow and bloom. A sedentary lifestyle, often caused by long hours at a desk, can lead to stiffness and discomfort.

By incorporating small moments of movement daily, such as a walk during the lunch break, stretch exercises or a short dance session, we can give our body the attention it needs.

Nutrition is like fuel for our body. By choosing nutritious, unprocessed foods, we give our body the building blocks it needs to function optimally.

Imagine your body as a car: high-quality fuel ensures better performance and less chance of malfunctions. Sleep is like a reset button for our body and mind. During sleep, our body recovers and renews itself. A fixed sleep rhythm and a soothing sleeping environment are, as it were, the ideal maintenance conditions for our body.

In a world full of digital incentives, it is essential to consciously create offline moments. By setting limits on the use of technology and spending time in nature, we can strengthen the connection with our body and the world around us.

Breathing techniques are like a bridge between our mind and our body. By consciously paying attention to our breathing, we can reduce stress and shift our focus to the sensations in our body.
